  • Lead improvements involving automation, reconciliations, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that provide leadership with timely financial information.
  • Manage, coach, and develop accounting team members.
  • Establish clear procedures, documentation, and cross-training to ensure continuity within the department.
  • Partner with leadership and other departments to communicate financial results and support organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience supervising or leading accounting professionals.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing month-end close and preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements.
  • Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, reporting, and accounting processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience developing accounting staff.
  • High level of professionalism, judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential financial information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation.
  • Previous public accounting or audit experience.
  • Experience with financial reporting, reconciliation, automation, or business intelligence tools.
  • Experience participating in an ERP implementation, conversion, or major system enhancement.
  • Experience working with complex accounting structures, consolidations, or multiple business entities.
