Entry Level Dental Assistant

Overview: Seeking a Dental Assistant to join a mission-driven team providing patient-centered care with modern equipment and supportive workflows.
Responsibilities: Support surgical dentistry procedures alongside dentists during complex extractions, anticipate provider needs, perform impression taking, model pouring/trimming, and assist in fabrication process including waxwork for removable appliances.
Expanded Functions: Perform advanced tasks for qualified credential holders including temporary crown creation, sealant application, final impressions, and class one restorations.
Patient Care & Admin: Educate patients on aftercare and post-surgical recovery, prepare and reset treatment rooms efficiently, maintain EMR records, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Work Environment: Rotating setup between Port Huron and New Haven dental clinics with a 4-day work schedule.

Hours of operation:
Monday: 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday: 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Basic life support

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and certificate of completion from a recognized Dental Assistant program.
Experience: General dentistry experience preferred (1 year).
Skills: Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, general computer proficiency, and excellent interpersonal skills.
